Grilled Banana Split ????????

Super quick, easy and delicious! Absolutely perfect for National Dessert Day

Here's how @blackdog_bbq did it:
Ingredients:
• 1 banana (unripe if possible)
• 2 T maple syrup
• 1 T brown sugar
• ½ C vanilla ice cream
• Chocolate syrup, to taste
• Salted caramel, to taste
• Pecans, to garnish (optional)
• Whipped cream, as needed
• Mascherano cherry, to garnish
Procedure:
1. Preheat the grill to high. Meanwhile, take out the banana, cut off the stem, and slice in half lengthwise.
Brush the cut side of the bananas with the maple syrup and sprinkle liberally with brown sugar.
2. Add the banana halves to the grill cut-side up. Allow the bananas to cook for a few minutes, just long enough for the fruit to start separating from the peel and the sugar to melt. Remove the bananas from the grill and shut off the burners.
3. Using a fork, separate the banana fruit from the peel, being careful not to break the fruit.
4. Plate the banana halves crosswise, add a scoop of ice cream, and drizzle with chocolate syrup and caramel. Add pecans, if desired, and finish off the dessert with whipped cream and a cherry. Serve & enjoy!
