Description

Monument Valley 2 is the sequel to the award game by the same title, that was released in 2014.

Like the original the game draws inspiration from the famous dutch graphic artist M.C Escher. In particular the work Relativity which shows and interior space with ascending and descending stairways that seem to defy gravity and connect in ways physically impossible in this world, or at least in this dimension.

Its structure is much the same as the 2014 original. Its an isometric world of blocks, stairs, doors and elevators and you can operate screws and hoists in order to create pathways that lead to subsequent levels.

In this version you can turn the screen to facilitate further advances and right from the outset you are joined by a second character that accompanies you and can help you solve the puzzles.

Monument Valley 2 is longer than its predecessor, up to 14 chapters from the original's 10, however the puzzles are quite easy for those with great spacial awareness or familiar with this type of gameplay, certainly for those who have completed the original so it doesn’t take long to complete.

The visuals are outstanding! it is a beautiful game to look at and the soundtrack and sound effects provide an evocative atmosphere that help draw you into the game sharpen your concentration and provide an overall sense of calm and serenity.

Monument Valley 2 is available for IOS and Android. You can download it from the iTunes Store or Google play for around $4.99 US and if you get in quickly its currently half price.
