Description

Spicy Watermelon Margarita ????️????????
.
Did you know it’s National Watermelon Day?

Here’s how @blackdog_bbq did it on the Edge Electric Grill:

Ingredients (enough for 2 drinks)
• 3 oz. tequila
• 3-4 limes, juiced
• 1 oz. Jalapeño-infused simple syrup (shoot me a DM if interested in how to make this — I’ll drop a video next week!)
• ½ oz. agave syrup

For the Watermelon Juice:
1. Preheat grill to 650 degrees. Once hot, add the watermelon and cook until charred on both sides, flipping as needed.
2. Take the grilled watermelon and cube into ~1-inch pieces. Add these to a blender and puree until smooth. Pour the juice through a wire mesh strainer into a mason jar. Allow the mixture to cool at room temperature then refrigerate until ready to use.

**Note: there will be plenty of leftovers with this for several uses!

To Finish:
1. Add the tequila, watermelon juice, lime juice, jalapeño-infused simple syrup, and agave syrup into a shaker or mixing glass with ice. Stur until well combined.
2. Pour the margarita into cocktail glasses & serve!

**Note: adjust the amount of limes to taste. This varies for me based on the size of the limes, but I tend to do 1 ½ - 2 limes per drink.
