Description

Autodesk’s Lukas Fuhrmann explains that Autodesk and Ultimaker share the same vision of making 3D printing accessible to everybody. Autodesk’s Fusion 360 is a full, end-to-end CAD platform. With the software, users can simulate and engineer their work. Then carry it over to a dedicated additive manufacturing space for granular control over setup, support materials, orientation, slicing, and the creation of STL or 3MF files for printing. Fusion 360 also offers connectivity to Ultimaker enterprise app, offering users associative design and manufacturing data. This minimizes the number of errors generated when design changes are required. In essence, what this means is that you set up your part for printing only once, and don’t have to worry about setting up and slicing your parts every time you need to make a new print. Fusion 360 will automate that for you through the additive manufacturing space!
