Description

A research team has shown 3D printed programable carbon fiber actuators. Using AI they show a less bulky ¨carbon fiber muscle¨ that could be the key to more acessible and practical soft robotics. The paper is called, ¨3D-Printed Phase-Change Artificial Muscles with Autonomous Vibration Control¨

Zurich baed a-metal was awarded CHF 150,000 by Venture Kick to help develop a small affordable metal 3D printer.

ESA is working on pure copper LPBF electromagnetic coils.
